TIP – Team Lead / Instructor Operator / Paramedic
Location: Multiple CONUS/OCONUS MSTC Sites
Hours: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, excluding Federal Holidays
Position Description
Senior leader responsible for Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC) operations, performance-based training, and instructor oversight aligned with Army modernization.
The MSTC Team Lead is responsible for the supervision and coordination of all training and instructional activities at the designated Medical Simulation Training Center. The Team Lead provides oversight, direction, and quality assurance for a team of instructors, EMTs, and paramedics delivering simulation-based medical training in both classroom and field environments. Key duties include ensuring compliance with Army training standards, maintaining site accreditation, and serving as primary point of contact with the government and other stakeholders.

Instructor Operator (I/O) Requirement
All personnel will function as Instructor Operators (I/O) and are expected to actively demonstrate, perform, and execute all aspects of medical training including simulation-based instruction, performance evaluation, and real-time scenario execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise daily site operations and manage instructional personnel
• Coordinate delivery of all simulation training programs
• Ensure all staff maintain current credentials, certifications, and required annual training
• Oversee lesson plans, training schedules, and course delivery
• Monitor training effectiveness and compliance with regulatory standards
• Liaise with Army stakeholders and external accrediting bodies
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing professional development of staff
• Lead MSTC operations and training personnel
• Deliver advanced medical training scenarios
• Deliver and support advanced medical training modules
• Operate ALS simulation equipment
• Validate advanced skills and support scenario-based assessments
• Maintain currency with all paramedic and instructional certifications
• Ensure compliance with MEDCoE standards
• Oversee instructor performance and certifications

Physical Requirements
• Lift, carry, drag, and maneuver simulated casualties (150+ lbs)
• Perform repetitive physical tasks in high-tempo environments
• Demonstrate medical procedures under realistic conditions
• Stand and instruct for extended periods
• Operate in classroom, lab, and field environments
Minimum Qualifications
• National Registered Paramedic (NRP), current
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification (must include instructor certification)
• Successful annual completion of Training Circular (TC) 8-800
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in emergency medical services, pre-hospital, or military medicine (68W, 4NOX1, Hospital Corpsman)
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Travel may be required as needed for training, inspections, or meetings
• Must be able to pass a federal government background check
• Requires ongoing credential maintenance as defined by contract and regulatory guidelines
• Candidates may be required to meet additional site specific requirements or obtain security clearances in accordance with contract terms and Army regulations
