Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Site Representative Systems Engineer to support a critical customer mission on our Space Force Space Systems Command (SSC) contract. This role provides on-site systems engineering representation in support of government acquisition program offices, assisting with the transition of complex weapon and mission systems from development into production and operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, independent, and experienced in systems engineering and manufacturing within defense or space programs.

Work Environment:
- Full-time, on-site position in Tucson, AZ supporting system acquisition, manufacturing oversight, and mission-critical defense programs.
Responsibilities:
- Represent the government program office at contractor and developer facilities, maintaining awareness of daily technical and manufacturing activities.
- Participate in developer reviews and boards including Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRRs), and change management forums.
- Monitor corrective action items, problem reports, change board decisions, obsolescence issues, and diminishing manufacturing sources.
- Track hardware pedigrees and participate in verification activities including First Article Inspections (FAIs), Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs), and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs).
- Monitor laboratory and manufacturing areas to assess build schedules, production progress, and issues impacting program timelines.
- Benchmark industry best practices against developer manufacturing and production processes.
- Review and assess developer readiness for manufacturing and transition to production.
- Communicate risks, issues, and recommendations to the home program office and government stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 14+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 12+ years of experience.
- Extensive experience with systems engineering and manufacturing across the design, production, integration, and testing of terrestrial or space systems.
- Strong background in requirements development, verification, and validation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
- Proven ability to interface directly with customers, developers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Clearance Requirement:
- Must possess an in-scope T5 or SSBI background investigation adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in Continuous Evaluation (if applicable).
- Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP).
- Must be willing to consent to a polygraph examination.
Compensation:
- Pay Band: $150,000 - $170,000
