Overview

Are you a customer service rockstar with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? We're looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Office Administrator to support our vibrant office in California, Maryland. In this dynamic, 100% onsite role, you'll be the go-to person ensuring everything flows seamlessly and our team is supported every step of the way. What will you do?

• Provide administrative support to senior staff, and other staff as directed, in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment. This will require the use and knowledge of applications such as, but not limited to MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Ensure all visitors sign in and are issued a badge. Maintain visitor badge tracker.

• Answer all phone calls- screen and direct calls accordingly.

• Maintain multiple conference room calendars as well as provide resources needed for meeting to take place.

• Coordinate shipping logistics and package deliveries.

• Provide assistance to event planning.

• Purchase and maintain inventory of office supplies and snacks for multiple office locations. This will require the use and understanding of online ordering through our databases and sources.

• Other supplies may be needed for on-site conferences, meetings, etc.

• Work closely with Building Manager, Engineer, and Security to maintain a safe and efficient workable space.

• Support the recruitment process as needed.

• Attend meetings accordingly.

• Maintain a welcoming, comfortable, organized environment for employees and visitors.

• Other duties as assigned.

Do you have what it takes?

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent, relevant experience may be able to substitute for degree.

• At least five (5) or more years of experience in a professional office environment or customer service preferred.

• Ability to hold an active Secret clearance.

• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with people at all levels of the organization.

• Effective communication skills.

• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

• Able to work independently.

• Positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.

• Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Previously provided administrative support in a government contractor setting preferred.

Pay Range: VTG's estimated starting pay range is $21.00 - 26.44 hourly, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
