PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an Assembly & Test Technician - Level 2, in Tempe, AZ.
Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated individuals to perform both repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly and testing activities under limited supervision. The role may include working on experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies while following detailed specifications and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, and systems
Perform calibration and alignment checks; make necessary adjustments, modifications, and replacements
Follow established procedures using various manufacturing tools, equipment, and instructions
Train, mentor, and inspect the work of less experienced technicians
Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and complete assigned tasks
Accurately document and report test results to senior technicians, engineers, and Workflow Specialists
Maintain a high level of focus to ensure quality, safety, and injury prevention
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience in assembly and testing
Advanced proficiency with hand tools, torque wrenches, micrometers, lock-wire pliers, and calipers
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CMMs, S/Vs, TILs, SCI, and relevant service literature
Familiarity with safety training, SAP, Standard Work Instructions, and visual management
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to contractual requirements
Preferred Skills
Certifications in soldering, crimping, statistical process control, dielectric/pneumatic testing, and ESD procedures
Experience with HOS activities, continuous improvement (CI), 5S audits, and leading Kaizen events
Knowledge of RPS, kanban card usage, BIQ, and TPM
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform physical and/or mental work in compliance with international safety standards
