PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an FAA Assembly Mechanic - Level 1 , in Phoenix, AZ.
Job Description:
As an FAA Assembly Mechanic Level 1, you will play a critical role in assembling, maintaining, and testing mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. This position involves identifying parts that require replacement, ordering new parts as needed, and ensuring proper machinery functionality in compliance with FAA standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Construction & Assembly: Assemble mechanical components according to specifications and quality standards.
Maintenance & Testing: Perform routine maintenance and conduct functionality and safety testing.
Part Identification: Identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning parts requiring replacement.
Order Placement: Order replacement parts as needed to support operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Completion of an apprenticeship or formal specialty training may be required.
Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience or related field experience.
Knowledge: Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
Supervision: Work under immediate supervision following pre-established guidelines.
Reporting: Report directly to a supervisor or manager.
Special Considerations
Physical Requirements: Lift up to 30 lbs without significant repetition.
Exposure Risks: Moderate exposure to machinery, chemicals, biological agents, and physical hazards.
Equipment Operation: May operate a powered industrial truck (industrial or heavy equipment).
