Duties
Help
  • You will direct and oversee staffing procedures to include structure, workload estimation techniques, workforce identification (military, civilian, and contract), administrative procedures and processes of planning for future objectives.
  • You will function as the business manager and the principal interface with representatives from outside offices, agencies, and private industry.
  • You will oversee fiscal operations to include planning, programming, budgeting, and execution for all programs and training element operations.
  • You will monitor resource allocations on fiscal spending plans and resource expenditure for funds from all sources.
  • You will direct the implementation of higher-level policies, practices, and procedures.
  • You will assign work to be accomplished by subordinates and set and adjust short and long-term goals and priorities.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience may demonstrate the following: 1) Leading and managing organizational operations, including supervising staff and directing programs; 2) Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, including briefing senior leaders; 3) Implementing policies, practices, and procedures to achieve strategic goals; 4) Planning, developing, and executing multi-year strategic or business initiatives; 5) Designing and managing professional development or training programs, including diverse instructional methods; 6) Applying human resources practices and ensuring compliance with workforce equity standards.
