Job Description
Koniag Operations Services, LLC a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to support KOS and our government customer in Charleston, SC. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have proven supervisory experience in custodial services, strong leadership capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and team management. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) clearance to support KOS and our government customer.

The Custodial Supervisor will lead and oversee the custodial team to ensure the highest standards of facility cleanliness, safety, and maintenance. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Lead, supervise, and manage the custodial team to maintain exceptional standards of facility cleanliness and safety
- Oversee and coordinate daily custodial operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, on schedule, and in full compliance with contract standards and specifications
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety protocols and cleaning procedures to ensure a secure and healthy working environment for all staff and facility occupants
- Coordinate and manage team schedules, work assignments, and performance evaluations to meet facility maintenance goals and objectives
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the custodial team, management, and client representatives regarding service quality, facility needs, and operational concerns
- Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas and facilities to ensure quality control, adherence to safety requirements, and compliance with contract specifications
- Train new custodial staff on proper cleaning techniques, equipment operation, safety procedures, and company standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper maintenance of custodial tools
- Address and resolve any facility maintenance issues, customer concerns, or team performance matters in a timely and professional manner
Education and Experience:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-4 years of experience in custodial services or facility maintenance
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in custodial operations is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) clearance
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Proven leadership and team management abilities with experience supervising custodial staff
- Strong knowledge of custodial procedures, cleaning techniques, and industry best practices
- Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and hazardous material handling
- Excellent communication skills - both written and oral - with the ability to interface effectively with team members, management, and client representatives
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Proficiency in inventory management and supply ordering processes
- Flexibility to adjust schedules and respond to urgent facility needs or emergency situations
- Physical ability to perform custodial duties as needed and inspect all facility areas
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to address operational challenges and customer concerns effectively
Security Requirement:
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust
Desired Skills and Competencies:
- Experience working in a federal government facility or supporting government contracts
- Certification in custodial or facility management (e.g., CIMS, ISSA certifications)
- Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) to effectively communicate with diverse team members
- Experience with custodial management software or facility maintenance tracking systems
- Knowledge of green cleaning practices and environmentally sustainable custodial procedures
- Experience with budget management and cost control in custodial operations
