*THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD*

SOSi is seeking a Groundskeeping Supervisor who will be responsible for maintaining safe and attractive landscaping across assigned sites. This role oversees landscaping operations, ensures proper care of grounds and exterior areas, and supports overall facility aesthetics and functionality. The duties and responsibilities listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

Essential Job Duties

• Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring safety is the highest priority in the workplace.
• Comply with all Environmental & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements and goals; provide necessary documentation support.
• Design, layout, and install landscape beds, plants, hardscape, and structures with consideration for water conservation and cost control.
• Coordinate with construction and facilities personnel to ensure minimal impact to existing landscaping during new construction or modifications.
• Maintain knowledge of locally available plants, materials (e.g., mulch, fertilizers, soil amendments), and equipment to minimize importation and transportation costs.
• Supervise a large team across multiple projects, including direct hires and subcontractors.
• Ensure safe operation and maintenance of landscaping equipment.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Landscape Management, Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, or related field OR relevant certifications in lieu of degree (e.g., Master Gardener, NALP, or equivalent)
• Must possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance or Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) certification
• Experience in landscaping operations for residential, commercial, recreational, or government properties
• Experience managing teams and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors
• Experience scheduling and managing workforce activities
• Ability to provide excellent customer service
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Knowledge of supporting contract operations at an overseas facility
• Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to adapt and drive process improvements
• Language Skills: Strong, professional English communication skills
• Citizenship: No specific requirement

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous international experience (2+ years)
• Experience working in harsh environmental or political conditions
• Experience working in developing countries with limited infrastructure.

Work Environment

• Full-time position with standard working hours; may require occasional evening or weekend work.
• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions.
• Exposure to potentially hazardous materials and environments; appropriate safety measures must be followed.
