We are seeking an LMS Developer to support training operations, learning systems administration, and reporting for a federal operations environment. This role is open at either the Junior or Senior level, depending on experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates clearly, and takes ownership of tasks from start to finish.
Position Levels
Junior LMS Developer
3–5 years of LMS administration or instructional technology experience
Senior LMS Developer
10+ years of LMS administration, development, or instructional technology experience
Expected to operate independently, provide guidance to junior staff, and drive process improvement
Key Responsibilities
LMS Configuration & Support
Configure and maintain LMS platforms, including course setup, user management, and content uploads
Support daily LMS operations, troubleshooting, and end-user support
Ensure accuracy and integrity of training and certification records
Workflow & Process Support
Assist in developing and maintaining automated workflows for training tracking and approvals
Support implementation of tools that streamline operational and training processes
Help improve efficiency and consistency across training operations
Data Management & Reporting
Maintain LMS data including course completions, certifications, and user records
Assist in generating reports and dashboards for leadership review
Interpret dashboard outputs and explain what the data represents (not required to build dashboards)
Program & Stakeholder Coordination
Track training initiatives, action items, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders
Provide regular status updates and close the loop on assigned tasks
Support development of briefs, summaries, and reports for leadership
Content & Documentation Management
Maintain document repositories and ensure training materials are accessible and current
Support collaboration tools such as SharePoint for document and content management
Learning Needs & CE Program Support
Assist in gathering and analyzing data for learning needs assessments
Support alignment of training offerings with organizational requirements
Track Continuing Education (CE) activities, participation, and compliance
Support coordination of training events, meetings, and conferences
Required Skills & Experience (All Levels)
Active Public Trust (Tier III) or Secret Clearance
U.S. Citizenship (required for federal work)
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proven ability to:
Track tasks and action items
Follow up consistently
Close the loop daily with updates
Experience documenting how you stay organized, including tools, habits, or workflows used
Basic understanding of data reporting and dashboards
Familiarity with:
Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Technical Skills
