Engineering Technician

The Engineering Technician will apply basic engineering techniques and principles to develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate or operate electrical, electronic, surface ship combat systems, avionics, mechanical, communications, stores, armament/ordnance, or related data processing systems for military weapon systems or associated support equipment or facilities. In addition, the Engineering Technician will provide for the maintenance, repair, inspection, and troubleshooting of system equipment or components. Organize, analyze, and prepare reports or presentations of technical data and information. Plan and perform tests and evaluations of systems equipment or components. Compiles, processes, reduces, or analyzes test data and results.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 pounds in both routine and emergency operational conditions.
• Ability to properly wear, securely fit, and use standard personal protective equipment (PPE), including fall-arrest harnesses, and to access designated work areas through standard roof access openings and other confined spaces while maintaining safe work practices.
• Ability to safely ascend and descend communication towers (up to 164 feet) or similar structures using approved personal fall-arrest systems (PFAS) and climbing equipment, maintaining 100% tie-off and three points of contact. Must be able to perform installation, maintenance, and testing tasks at height in strict adherence to company and OSHA safety protocols.
• Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
