Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain non‑embedded software solutions across the end‑to‑end software lifecycle.
- Translate customer and system requirements into software architecture, designs, algorithms, and interfaces.
- Develop, enhance, and optimize software products supporting complex system integrations.
- Debug, analyze, and resolve software defects to ensure reliability, efficiency, and maintainability.
- Document and maintain software architecture, requirements, designs, and technical artifacts.
- Respond to user inquiries, perform technical troubleshooting, and analyze customer feedback.
- Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes relevant to software development.
- Develop and improve software processes, tools, and performance metrics aligned with organizational goals.
- Execute and document software research and development initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance on software domains, system‑specific challenges, and regulatory considerations.
- Support software project management and software supplier management efforts.
- Track and evaluate team and supplier performance to ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- ACTIVE Secret security clearance
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a software developer
- Strong coding experience, with emphasis on C++
- Working knowledge of hardware configurations and system interfaces
- Knowledge of Ada programming
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with mission planning or mission computing systems
- Operating Systems development experience
- Software and system integration experience
- Exposure to radar systems
- Aerospace or defense industry background
- Prior client experience or experience with similar organizations (e.g., Lockheed Martin or comparable companies)
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
- Typically, 5+ years of related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- (e.g., Master's + 3 years, PhD)
