This role requires strong expertise in DevSecOps, AWS cloud environments, and modern software delivery practices, along with the ability to manage critical incidents, optimize processes, and guide strategic technology adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical leader to enhance software development maturity and continuous delivery processes.
- Drive DevSecOps adoption and modern engineering practices across teams.
- Lead large-scale technology transformation initiatives, including AI, analytics, and digital platforms.
- Provide executive-level communication during critical incidents and assess technical/business impact.
- Respond to RFIs and develop technical solution approaches aligned with organizational strategy.
- Own and manage incident response, root cause analysis, and resolution planning.
- Monitor system health using observability and alerting tools; drive improvements based on insights.
- Establish standardized processes for incident management and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, SREs, security, and cloud engineers.
- Participate in Agile sprints to continuously improve systems and processes.
- Manage team workload, performance, and deliverables across employees and subcontractors.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and mitigation strategies.
Must have:
- 10+ years of experience in AWS, networking, IT security, and enterprise systems.
- Strong hands-on expertise in DevSecOps, CI/CD, automation, and release management.
- Experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
- Deep understanding of IAM roles, permissions, and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with AWS tools such as CloudWatch, OpenSearch, and security tools (Aqua, DLP).
- Strong experience with Kubernetes (AWS EKS) and containerized applications (Spring Boot preferred).
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD, feature flags, and DORA metrics.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby).
- Experience with observability tools like Datadog.
- Strong incident management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in 24/7 production environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with PaaS environments and network administration.
- Experience with remote access tools (SFTP, RDP, Citrix, AWS Workspaces, Session Manager).
- AWS Solutions Architect - Professional (Required)
- AWS Certified Security - Specialty (Required)
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Active Public Trust Clearance
