Job Description

Summary

The Site Manager (SM) has full authority and responsibility for assuring performance objectives and standards identified in the contract are met for the site. Responsible for overall management and direction of Protective Services (Security and Emergency Management). Provides overall guidance to functional and operational areas of responsibility, ensuring that activities follow established company policies and procedures, plans and budget directives. Responsible for the implementation of sound financial programs, ensuring that operations are conducted in a cost-effective manner. The SM located at LaRC is responsible for the administration and technical supervision of CGP employees. The SM is the primary representative at LaRC and has CGP's full autonomous authority to act on matters pertaining to the services under this contract across all functions and acts as primary interface between CGP, the Center CO, and COR.

Responsibilities

  • Provides overall guidance for industrial and personnel security, security services, emergency management and control center activities.
  • Provides departments with day-to-day guidance, ensuring sound financial programs and management of personnel
  • Plans objectives, forecasts future directions and determines course of action for protective services departments.
  • Develops and manages the organization and administrative structure to most effectively utilize resources and capabilities to support and deliver security services required under the contract. Maintains knowledge of current procedures and techniques within the security fields.
  • Ensures that all programmatic activities follow company policies and procedures, plans and budget directives.
  • Ensures personnel requisitions are in accordance with budget directives and overall limitations and operations are conducted in a cost-effective manner.
  • Develops long range plans for department and reviews/approves all organizational changes to improve the efficiency of operations.
  • Serves as the primary interface with the customer regarding functional areas of responsibility.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local and NASA laws and regulations, requirements, and site energy management conservation regulations, collective bargaining agreements, security, safety and other specialized programs or contractual requirements relating to the business directorate, working within the limits of established policy.
  • May be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • SM will report contract activities to the Program Manager.
  • Directly and indirectly supervises all protective services personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field such as law enforcement, police science, police administration or criminology.
  • 10 Years managing contract Law Enforcement personnel of at least 100 armed personnel or 10 years Supervisor of at least 50-armed law enforcement employees.
  • Must fully comprehends the principles of installation security and resource protection
  • Must be knowledgeable in the application of intrusion detection devices and electronic security systems.
  • Must be familiar with NASA security regulations and directives pertaining to security and resource protection.
  • S. Citizenship
  • Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
  • Top Secret clearance.
