Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Mechanical Engineer to support Launchers and Weapons programs within Lockheed Martin's portfolio. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of technical problem-solving skills, the ability to see the big picture, the ability to conceptualize, develop, and implement solutions, and the ability to partner well with internal and external organizations.
In this role, the candidate will work collaboratively with design engineers, test engineers and field technicians as well as representatives from Manufacturing, Quality, Design, and other engineering disciplines. The Launchers portfolio has multiple programs requiring equipment and hardware testing to standards including MIL-STD-810H, MIL-S-901D and MIL-STD-167-1 or 1A.
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Test and hardware experience.
• Ability to take ownership for significant tasks, complete them on schedule, and document/present the results.
• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access
Desired Skills:
• Experience with MIL-STD-810H, MIL-S-901D and MIL-STD-167-1 or 1A.
• Finite element analysis and mechanical analysis.
• Ability to work with minimal day to day supervision
• Must take direction well, and be a self-starter willing to seek assignments and guidance
• Must pay attention to detail for test setups and test events.
• Ability to effectively work in a team environment and to work cooperatively with peers and seniors.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
The base range for this position in New Jersey is $75,000 - $135,961.
