What does this role look like?

LM Space is seeking an experienced Program Mgt-Subcontract Principal to join our National Security Space (NSS) team as a Supply Chain Strategy Lead. You will be accountable to our multiple mission areas from a supply chain strategy and capture perspective. Responsibilities will include driving supplier capacity assessments and evaluating their ability to ramp to rate, supplier resiliency, supplier designation, and early engagement initiatives that partner with the MSAC organization. Additionally, the role may evolve based on the highly visible nature and expectations of NSS PM executive stakeholders and the Capture Excellence organization. You will be responsible for the technical and programmatic oversight of subcontractors providing major subsystems in support of strategic business capture and program execution efforts. You will also be expected to identify novel suppliers that can positively disrupt the marketplace and improve Lockheed Martin's pWin, if added to new program pursuit. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of NSS and LM Space.

This role will offer you the following daily challenges:

We are looking for someone with demonstrated capture experience and the appropriate technical and business acumen to balance priorities, facilitate issue prevention/resolution, and clearly communicate status and needs to our customers/partners, as well as Lockheed Martin and supplier executives. Further, you should have an inherent knowledge of commercial and defense industrial base, and the ability to leverage that perspective in support of NSS.

This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in either: Denver, CO or Sunnyvale, CA and be expected to work in the office .
Basic Qualifications:
To be effective, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• 10+ years of professional experience in a combination of Business Development, Program Management, and/or Supply Chain Management (i.e... Procurement, Subcontract Administration, Subcontract Management, Negotiation, and/or Category Management).
• Capture process and Program execution experience.
• Demonstrated experience as a key leader in capture efforts and during program performance.
• Experience in the negotiation and administration of multiple contract types, including complex fee structures with high dollar CPAF/IF, CPFF, and/or LOE type DOD requirements. Relevant commercial contract experience will be considered as well.
• Previous professional experience leading teams, and multiple program efforts.
• You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess a US TOP SECRET clearance , and able to obtain SCI, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
To be effective, ideally, you should also have:

• Minimum of 10 years of Supply Chain or related experience on programs or associated leadership experience.
• Highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience implementing Subcontract or program strategy.
• Experience managing an effort > $100M
• Demonstrated ability in forming teams and driving energy/engagement.
• Current DoD and/or IC compartmented clearances
• Experience participating in or leading a proposal or program capture.
• Knowledge of NSS's broad portfolio to include hardware, software, services, and NTK deliverables.
• A team player with the demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals.
• Possess excellent communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $144,600 - $255,070. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $166,400 - $288,305.
