Responsibilities

As the Asset Management (DPAS) Technician you will act as a model of customer service excellence to all organizational staff members in the 6.12 Asset Management Program (OPTIONAL) as part of DISA's Command, Control, Communications, and Computers Enterprise Directorate (C4E) J6 Service Delivery contract. You will be responsible for processing and maintaining accountable J6 IT assets across nine DPAS property accounts in support of approximately 2,500 monthly property transactions, ensuring 100% asset accountability IAW DODI 5000.76, DODI 5000.64, DISA policies, and DOD FMR 7000.14-R Vol. 12 Ch. 7 .

Highlights of Responsibilities:

  • Processes and maintains accountable J6 IT assets across nine DPAS property accounts, supporting approximately 2,500 monthly property transactions including additions, deletions, transfers, adjustments, vouchers, and disposals IAW DODI 5000.76, DODI 5000.64, DISAI 270-165-8, DISAI 630-125-6, and DOD FMR 7000.14-R Vol. 12 Ch. 7.
  • Generates automated electronic DD Form 1150 hand receipts in ELMS whenever a reportable asset is issued, relocated, reassigned, or turned in; requests user signature on-site and before closure of incident or service request; uploads signed DD Form 1150s in ServiceNow.
  • Transfers assets in ELMS in coordination with the assigned Accountable Property Officer (APO), from the Service Desk custodial account to the customer Property Custodian accounts and vice versa for all equipment transactions.
  • Contributes to the weekly Pending Transaction Report submitted to the Government Property Manager, tracking all transactions through all critical steps in the property transaction process.
  • Supports the 10% monthly inventory spot-check reconciliation to the J631 Division Chief and annual inventory reconciliation audit to the Government-designated DISA APO; initiates FLIPL (DD Form 200) for losses not located within 10 business days.
  • Conducts technical inspections of turned-in equipment to determine whether it can be returned to bench stock or needs to be excessed; tags equipment and removes hard drives IAW DISA J6 Equipment Turned-In SOP.
  • Removes and sanitizes all unclassified and classified hard drives for equipment tagged for disposition, with 100% of classified drives processed following Government-approved methods IAW NISPOM; coordinates with Government-provided sanitization resources.
  • Picks up turned-in equipment at user locations identified in PWS section 9; tags disposition as serviceable, within lifecycle, damaged beyond repair, warranty repair required, or other as appropriate.
  • Reconciles discrepancies or losses with the APO, Property Custodians, or Property Administrators; generates FLIPL or DD Form 200 as directed by DOD FMR 7000.14-R V. 12 Ch. 7.
  • Retains and archives all supply source documents supporting inventory record balance changes for at least three years for audit research purposes.


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Shall possess at the time of award a Secret security clearance
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct research into PC and software issues and products as required.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment.


Education and Experience:

  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of education, including consideration of vendor certification in the technology being applied.
  • Required Experience: 3 or more years of professional experience supporting a similar role.
  • Experience supporting a DoD or J6 customer is a plus.
  • Certification:
    • ITIL v4 Foundations, CompTIA Security+, DPAS training certification
  • Preferred:
    • CompTIA A+, DoD Financial Management certification
