Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented C2BMC Principal Systems Engineer to join our team! This position provides engineering support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Operations Support team. Focused on requirements, modeling and simulation (M&S), and V&V activities in support of missile defense and threat systems M&S development. Work will involve interaction between missile defense systems and threat system disciplines in this environment. May be asked to analyze the integration of systems engineering processes and methodologies to ensure effectiveness of this work.

Salary Range: $134,100.00 - $241,400.00

Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented C2BMC Principal Systems Engineer to join our team! What you'll be doing:
- Ensures that the flow of requirements from conception to implementation is efficient, transparent, and traceable; Focus is on the "How it's tracked."
- Manages the requirements lifecycle using modern tooling and processes, ensuring clear communication and providing auditable traceability from the initial request to the final implementation
- Designs the Jira project and workflow that every DES requirement follows on its journey to MDA/TF
- Ensures every requirement is linked to its originating epic and that all discussions between DES and MDA/TF are captured in the ticket
- Creates a dashboard for DES leadership that shows the status of all in-flight requests at a glance
Required Skills:
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- BS in STEM field with 7+ years of experience
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and how to apply them to requirements management
- Knowledge of tools like Jira for issue tracking and Confluence for documentation; Knows how to build effective workflows, dashboards, and reports
- Knowledge of using Git to manage and version-control requirements documents, treating them with the same rigor as source code
- Ability to generate and interpret metrics on the requirements process itself (e.g., cycle time, throughput, backlog health) to identify bottlenecks
Desired Skills:
- Experience in missile defense system simulation and modeling
- Experience with DoD and/or MDA acquisition and systems engineering
- Active Secret clearance
