Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Recruitment Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent in the defense industry, including identifying target candidates, creating job postings, and utilizing various channels for advertising.
- Job Posting and Advertising: Create and post job openings on various platforms, such as ClearanceJobs.com, defense-specific job boards, and social media to reach a wider audience of qualified candidates.
- Candidate Sourcing: Utilize various methods to source candidates, including social media recruitment; employee referrals; networking events; industry associations; and online job boards
- Interviewing and Selection: Conduct interviews with shortlisted candidates, assess their skills and experience, and make recommendations for hire.
- Candidate Communication: Communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process, including sending emails, making phone calls, and providing updates on the status of their application.
- Compliance with Federal Regulations: Ensure compliance with federal regulations, such as the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- This position is designed to be flexible and may evolve over time, with responsibilities expanding to include collaboration and support with the Finance team during slower recruitment cycles.
- Performance Metrics Tracking: Track key performance metrics, such as time-to-hire, source of hire, and candidate satisfaction, to measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make data-drive decisions.
- Collaboration with Hiring Managers: Work closely with hiring managers to understand their needs, provide recommendations for job openings, and ensure candidates meet the required skills and qualifications.
- Recruitment Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve the recruitment process to optimize efficiency, reduce time-to-hire, and increase candidate satisfaction.
- Staffing Planning: Develop and maintain a staffing plan to ensure adequate coverage of open positions and anticipate future hiring needs including rapid or mass hiring events.
- Maintain a comprehensive staffing plan organized within a shared file structure, categorized by Labor Category (LCAT) and geographic location, to ensure efficient access, consistency, and collaboration across teams.
- Budget Management: Manage recruitment budgets effectively, including allocating resources for advertising, temporary staffing agencies, and other recruitment-related expenses
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of the defense industry and job market trends
- Ability to work effectively with hiring managers and other stakeholders
- Experience with recruitment software and tools
- Familiarity with federal regulations and compliance requirements
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications and Core Competencies:
- Experience as an IT/Engineering Recruiter: Recruit IT and engineering professionals with expertise in areas such as cybersecurity, software development, and systems integration.
- Experience as a Contractor/Temp Recruiter: Recruit contractors and temporary workers to fill short-term or project-based positions.
- Experience as a Veteran Recruiter: Specialize in recruiting veterans and service members for defense contracting companies

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) may be required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
WORK HOURS
- Work hours are generally M-F 0800-1600. The customer may approve or request different work hours, depending on mission requirements.
