Senior Enterprise Architect
Remote | Supporting USCG Headquarters | Secret Eligible

D&G is seeking a highly skilled Senior Enterprise Architect to support the U.S. Coast Guard Office of the Chief Enterprise Architect (CG TECH-4). This role supports information technology processes and works directly with the Chief Enterprise Architect (CEA) to document a target architecture for the organization. As the senior SME on this contract, you will direct the development of enterprise architecture products, manage projects, evaluate processes and documentation, and facilitate improvements. This role includes regular interaction with veteran government employees (GS-15), senior executives, senior military officers (O5/O6), and flag officers.
What You Will Do
• Support the USCG Chief Enterprise Architect (CEA) and act as a Trusted Advisor on all enterprise architecture efforts.
• Support scheduled and ad hoc meetings discussing organizational EA goals.
• Develop a strategic vision for the EA program target state of the USCG.
• Draft a target architecture and a transition plan for how the organization will achieve that architecture.
• Perform qualitative analysis on EA artifacts.
• Regularly adapt programmatic strategy based on shifting resource priorities.
• Provide objective briefings to senior leaders with thoroughly researched, defensible recommendations for advancing EA strategy.
• Develop long-term planning documents (vision statements, strategy, roadmaps, etc.).
• Apply project management methodologies and best practices.
• Develop content, including briefings, issue papers, and process documentation.
• Lead and/or support recursive process improvement efforts.
• Develop and present technical briefs to nontechnical audiences tailored to their expertise.
• Manage and participate in multiple assignments.
• Lead and facilitate client meetings.
• Provide concise recommendations for adjusting EA artifacts and explain them to a variety of audiences.
• Manage competing priorities, time constraints, and aggressive timelines.
• Recommend risk mitigation strategies and understand when to elevate issues to project leadership.
• Provide exceptional organizational skills to support project work.
• Build professional client relationships.
What We Are Looking For
Required:
• 15 years of relevant experience, or at least 12 years of experience with a master’s degree or higher
• Eligible for a Secret clearance
• Extensive Cameo expertise
• PMP certification, DHS PM certification (FAC/PM Level I or II), or equivalent certification
• Extensive Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) experience
• Experience developing complex deliverables subject to numerous iterations, redirection, and multiple reviews from a variety of stakeholders (supportive, neutral, oppositional, differing levels of EA expertise)
• Ability to provide guidance and counsel for executive level projects
• Ability to lead thorough reviews of products for quality and adherence to customer requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with executive level personnel, including sound judgment in determining the appropriate level of technical detail based on the audience
• High level of conscientiousness in reviewing products before delivery
Preferred:
• Experience working with USCG, DHS, or DOD/DOW
•• Experience with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
• Experience working in a Chief Information Officer or Chief Technology Officer office
Clearance and Eligibility
• Tier 1 Public Trust clearance or higher
• Restricted to U.S. persons as defined under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)
