Digital Services Technical Lead (DevSecOps)
Job Summary:
TEKsystems is seeking a Digital Services Technical Lead to drive modern software delivery and cloud transformation initiatives using a DevSecOps methodology. In this hands-on technical leadership role, you will design, build, and support highly visible enterprise applications running on AWS. You will work with tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS), GitLab CI/CD, Datadog, CloudWatch, OpenSearch, and modern security and observability platforms to improve reliability, security, and delivery speed across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the technical design, development, and implementation of new cloud and digital technologies.
• Serve as a hands-on technical leader driving maturity in software development, DevSecOps, and continuous delivery practices.
• Guide enterprise technology transformation initiatives, including AI, advanced analytics, and emerging digital solutions.
• Collaborate across software, SRE, cloud operations, security, network, database, and automation teams.
• Establish standards and best practices for monitoring, alerting, incident response, and observability.
• Own and manage high-impact incidents end-to-end, including real-time communication and executive-level updates.
• Identify recurring platform or application issues using observability tools and drive long-term improvements.
• Respond to RFIs and develop technical approach documentation aligned with strategic roadmaps.
• Create and maintain documentation such as incident reports, root cause analyses, and standard operating procedures.
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement standardized approaches to improve delivery and incident response.
• Participate in Agile sprints to evolve business processes, platforms, and technologies.
Required Skills & Experience:
• 12+ years of experience building and operating solutions in AWS cloud environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, automation, application development, and release management.
• Expertise with Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications (AWS EKS), including Spring Boot services.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD, feature flags, environment promotion, and DORA metrics.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM), roles, and permissions.
• Experience with AWS monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch and OpenSearch.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog.
• Experience with security tools (e.g., Aqua, DLP).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, C/C++, or Ruby.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level communication.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate response to critical production incidents.
Education & Eligibility:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–10+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
