Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer (QE) Sr. for a position in Grand Prairie, TX.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Quality Engineer Sr - Proposals you will be responsible for leading the implementation and execution of program quality requirements throughout the proposal lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Understands quality tasks across quality functions including hardware, software,
systems, suppliers / sub-contractors, and customers.
• Proficient in the areas of proposals, Basis of Estimate (BOE), contract review, program start-up, production, and support.
• Collaborate and partner with other functions including Program Manager, Proposal Manager, Contracts, Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Production and Customers.
• Support all program proposals, strategic initiatives, and a variety of projects aimed at improving processes.
• Assist in establishing quality budgets and cost commitments.
• Participate in independent reviews including Readiness Acceptance Check (RAC), customer proposal / BOE reviews, customer negotiations, Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audits, Programs Reviews and Executive Leadership Proposals Reviews

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain an active Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
• Technical Engineering (STEM - Engineering / Science) degree at the Bachelor level or above
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance - DOD Secret
• Understanding of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Engineering roles and responsibilities across all life cycles
• Knowledge of creating accurate, complete, correct, current and competitive Proposals / Basis of Estimate (BOE)
• Previous collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Experience with interpreting Statement of Work, Drawings, Specifications, Contracts and other engineering requirements
• Demonstrate ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical / process issues varying from basic to very complex
• Experience in disposition of non-conforming products
• Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management
Desired Skills:
• Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products
• Strong organizational skills, attention to details, ability to work in a dynamic environment and the ability to multi-task
• Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Must be able to meet proposal deadlines and to support all proposal activities
• Experience as a Control Account Manager and knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems
• Demonstrated understanding of audits
• Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement
• Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality systems
• Experience working with Government customers
• Proficient in writing Proposal and Basis of Estimate (BOEs)
• Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement
• An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Effective communication skills including written, oral, listening, presentation, technical writing, and collaboration
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
