This high-impact leadership role is part of SAIC's Air Force, Space, and Intelligence (AFSI) Business Group (BG) and focuses on delivering mission-aligned, cutting-edge solutions across the Defense Agencies and Joint Missions (DAJM) Account.
DISA's critical mission includes providing secure IT and communications support to the President, Secretary of Defense, Department of Defense leadership, and combatant commands. In this role, you will directly contribute to advancing programs vital to national security while leveraging SAIC's comprehensive capabilities to address the most complex challenges in defense IT and communications.

The position is designated as flexwork with travel about 25% of the time.

As a Senior Business Development Leader, you will have a transformative role in cultivating new opportunities, managing a robust pipeline, and fostering deep relationships with DISA and other agencies within the DAJM Account. This is a senior leadership position that allows you to shape the future of defense IT, cybersecurity, and communications solutions while driving SAIC's growth objectives.

How You'll Lead and Make an Impact:
  • Strategic Growth Leader: Develop and execute a growth strategy tailored to DISA, as well as the broader DAJM portfolio, including the agencies identified above.
  • Trusted Partner: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership at DISA and across these agencies to position SAIC as the premier partner for innovative, mission-driven solutions.
  • Pipeline Development: Drive the identification, qualification, and management of a robust pipeline of opportunities supporting DISA and the listed agencies, ensuring alignment with SAIC's vision and expertise.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Partner with operational leadership, Capture Managers, and technical SMEs to develop and execute winning pursuits aligned with both customer needs and SAIC capabilities.
  • Teaming & Alliances: Lead the development of teaming agreements and strategic partnerships to enhance SAIC's competitiveness across DISA and DAJM customers.

As a senior-level business development professional, you will:
  • Identify and pursue opportunities aligned with the strategic needs of DISA and the DAJM portfolio agencies, including the agencies identified above.
  • Collaborate extensively with SAIC's operational and technical experts to define innovative solutions for IT modernization, cybersecurity, cloud transformation, and resilient communications infrastructure.
  • Build and leverage trusted relationships with agency leaders and key decision-makers to position SAIC as a valued partner for mission-critical outcomes.
  • Guide SAIC's approach to opportunity identification, competitive assessments, and price-to-win strategies, ensuring alignment with DISA priorities and unique customer challenges.
  • Oversee the development of proposal strategies and win themes tailored to the specific needs of DISA and related DAJM accounts.
  • Serve as a key participant in senior-level reviews, strategic planning sessions, and customer engagement efforts, delivering actionable recommendations and insights.
  • Gather, assess, and validate customer requirements working closely with Capture and Program Managers -- identifying related needs and constraints that impact winning solution
  • Assess probable competition and evaluates relative strengths and threats - conducts or assists with black-hats, competitive scenarios, etc.
  • Participates in gate reviews, pricing, teaming, and capture reviews

Qualifications

We are seeking a results-oriented, innovative, and collaborative leader with a proven track record of business development success. Candidates should demonstrate the following:
