Duties
Help
  • You will execute program functions and services for the AN/BYG-1 Technical Insertion Hardware (TIH) program.
  • You will manage the acquisition team, coordinate procurement actions among multiple stakeholders, resolve contracting and financial issues and monitor contractor performance.
  • You will be responsible for the authorization of the TIH Acquisition Strategy as well as the development and execution of all follow on TIH contracts.
  • You will be responsible for the development of the Common Computing Environment acquisition strategy to support transformation efforts.
  • You will serve as the AN/BYG-1 Installations and Modernization manager.
  • You will coordinate with all stakeholders to plan, manage and execute all AN/BYG-1 CCS modernizations and equipment installations for this continuing program and its ongoing staff support.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: plan, develop, evaluate, and execute short- and long-range hardware procurement and installation program plans for the Technical Insertion Hardware Program.

Additional information

This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-04 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. This position has a control point; thus the salary range may be capped at the GS-15, step 05, which is equivalent to $191,850. If your current salary is above this amount, your salary may be matched.

This announcement uses the Acquisition Demo Business and Technical Management direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
