Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 pay band (or GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting quality assurance inspections, audits, surveys, or certification of shipboard systems to ensure compliance with ship or submarine maintenance program requirements.

Physical Demands / Work Environment: Requires the ability to go shipboard and work in an industrial environment (e.g., shipyard) to conduct inspections, audits, surveys, and reviews of shipboard systems, which includes climbing ladders and stairs to enter dry docks or access submarines.
You may be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

- You will provide support to the planning, development and execution of audits or surveys that lead to the certification of facilities, systems, and components.
- You will assess and analyze safety and quality assurance program implementation for assigned submarines.
- You will manage, plan, and execute certification audits that support submarine certifications.
- You will report and document audit findings and ensure that the resolution of deficiencies are initiated and completed and you will prepare the final audit report.
- You will provide technical expertise in submarine or submarine component production, overhaul, and Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE), Deep Submergence Systems (DSS), and Fly-by-Wire Ship Control Systems (FBW SCS) certification.
- You will represent the Division at conferences and meetings on all matters pertaining to assigned Quality Assurance duties and responsibilities.
- You will make decisions to solve complex technical, administrative, and quality assurance problems involved in implementing new equipment or systems and techniques.

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
