  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • Incumbent must speak, read and write English fluently and clearly.
  • This is a Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) position and requires Level II certification in the Facilities Engineering Career Field.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Manages the full lifecycle of facility projects, from identifying deficiencies and developing repair alternatives to project execution. This includes applying comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems to oversee sustainment, construction, and repair projects. 2) Oversees facility budgets and contracts by utilizing knowledge of the government contracting process and various acquisition tools. This involves managing multi-million-dollar budgets and ensuring contractor performance meets all technical, safety, and quality standards. 3) Provide direct supervision and leadership to a facilities management team. This includes planning and assigning work, managing personnel actions, developing performance standards, and fostering a safe and equitable work environment
