We are seeking a high-impact Supply Chain Capture and Support Specialist to connect our technical capability and government procurement requirements.
Decision Technologies seeks a Supply Chain Capture and Support Specialist to join our team Candidates located in the National Capital Region or the Virginia Beach area are preferred. This is expected to be a hybrid location position with work occurring at your home office, one of our corporate offices in Virginia Beach, VA or Arlington, VA, and/or frequent travel to customer sites.
Position Description:
The Supply Chain Capture and Support Specialist will lead us in efforts to aggressively grow our Navy repair and manufacturing portfolio by leveraging a solid understanding and working knowledge of DLA (Defense Logistics Agency) and NAVSUP WSS (Weapon Systems Support). You will lead us to expand our "Qualified Source" footprint. You will identify the high-impact parts/assemblies/systems of NAVSUP WSS and DLA need - those critical, in-service components struggling with lead times or aging supply bases. You will help craft the bridge between those requirements, our interactions with NAVSUP/DLA, and our technical capabilities. You will lead the transition of complex maritime components from government needs to our shop floor, strategically growing the volume and variety of parts we are qualified to manufacture and repair.

SALARY IS BASED ON FULL-TIME vs PART-TIME OR 1099
Responsibilities and Duties:
Strategic Capture & NSN Hunting: Move beyond simple bid-matching. You will analyze DLA/NAVSUP backlogs and "unfilled orders" to identify parts where current suppliers are failing or absent, mapping those opportunities to our facility's expanding capacity.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Source Approval Request (SAR) Leadership: Act as the lead strategist for the qualification process. You will coordinate with our engineering and quality teams to package and submit SARs, navigating the administrative and technical hurdles required to become an approved source for new National Stock Numbers (NSNs).
- Portfolio Expansion: Execute a growth roadmap that increases our range of qualified parts. You aren't just winning a one-off contract; you are securing our position as a long-term, qualified provider for high-value maritime assemblies.
- Full-Spectrum Business Development: Serve as the "three-headed" specialist:
- The SDR: Hunting and identifying the right opportunities within DIBBS and SAM.
- The Capture Lead: Managing the "ins and outs" of the RFP/Solicitation process and the Government part bid process.
- Negotiating opportunities and ensuring a seamless handoff to the bid process.
- Agency Engagement: Maintain high-level visibility with DLA Land and Maritime, DLA Aviation, and NAVSUP WSS to stay ahead of upcoming requirements and long-term sustainment strategies.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- HS Diploma and 5 plus years of experience with Configuration Management and
- 7+ years in DoD/DoW GovCon, with a focus on supply chain, manufacturing, or repair services.
- Proven track record navigating DLA and/or NAVSUP WSS procurement lanes. You know how these agencies "think" and how they qualify new vendors.
- Ability to look at a Technical Data Package (TDP) and see the business case for investment. You understand the lifecycle of how a part moves from "problematic" to "successfully repaired/manufactured."
- Expert-level knowledge of FAR/DFARS, WAWF, and the specific nuances of DON/DOD/DOW spares and repairs solicitations.
Travel Requirements:
- Travel will be defined by the candidate pursuing the core mission - it is assumed that frequent time will be required at NAVSUP WSS, DLA, and MARMC, and other regional DON/DOD/DOW logistics facilities
