Candidates must already possess an active Top Secret/SCI w/ CI Polygraph (Springfield VA Customer) to be considered.
Summary:
• Manage and optimize advanced relational database systems, including PostgreSQL and Aurora Postgres, with specialized support for geospatial workloads using PostGIS.
• Design and implement robust database security measures, such as Row Level Security (RLS), and develop efficient spatial database schemas.
• Oversee critical database operations, including comprehensive backup strategies, rapid recovery processes, and scalable performance optimization.
• Leverage professional software development experience with a cloud-first approach, utilizing AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) for Infrastructure as Code and advanced Python development.
• Develop and manage sophisticated ETL/ELT pipelines within cloud environments, incorporating data lakes, data warehousing, real-time processing, and streaming architectures.
• Utilize a range of AWS cloud-native services for data solutions, including DynamoDB, Redshift, and Athena.

Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Years of experience: 7+ years
Salary: $365k+ yearly compensation

• Implement solutions for data lakes, data warehousing, real-time data processing, and streaming analytics.
• Utilize AWS cloud-native services such as DynamoDB, Redshift, and Athena.
