Candidates must already possess an active Top Secret/SCI w/ CI Polygraph (Springfield VA Customer) to be considered.
Summary:
• Lead the management and optimization of PostgreSQL and Aurora PostgreSQL databases, including PostGIS for geospatial applications.
• Design and implement robust database solutions, including Row Level Security (RLS) and spatial schemas.
• Oversee critical database operations such as backup, recovery, and scalable performance.
• Apply professional software development practices with a cloud-first mindset, leveraging AWS CDK for Infrastructure as Code.
• Develop and maintain advanced Python applications and ETL/ELT pipelines using various AWS services.
• Drive initiatives in data lakes, data warehousing, real-time data processing, and streaming architectures.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Years of experience: 5+ years
• Salary: $314k+ yearly compensation
Job Description:

• Oversee and execute database operations, including backup, recovery, performance tuning, and scaling.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK).
• Utilize advanced Python for software development, automation, and data processing.
• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines leveraging AWS cloud-native services.
• Work with data lakes, data warehousing, real-time data processing, and streaming analytics architectures.
• Implement solutions using AWS services such as DynamoDB, Redshift, and Athena.
• Apply DevOps methodologies for continuous integration and deployment of database and data solutions.
• Ensure system security and data integrity across all database environments.
• Demonstrate strong SQL proficiency for database interaction and data manipulation.
