Job Description

Responsibilities

Arcfield is seeking an organized, reliable, and driven Network Engineer to work as part of our field service team to install, troubleshoot, and repair data networks at Naval Undersea Warfare (NUWCDIVNPT) in Newport RI. The engineer will work internally as part of organization's IT support team and externally to provide networking solutions for the organization's clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install all new hardware, systems, and software for networks
  • Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment and devices
  • Configure / software upgrades on routers, switches, firewalls and other network hardware
  • Plans and supports network and computing infrastructure
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problems and outages
  • Schedule updates and upgrades
  • Documents network problems and resolution for future reference

Qualifications

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Available to work outside of regular working hours and weekends
  • Advance experience with Cisco IOS and deploying Cisco routers/switches
  • Minimum two years' experience with computer hardware installation and repair
  • Hands-on experiences implementing and administrating network devices - firewalls, routers, VPN and backup applications.
  • Certifications - Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA CASP
  • BS and 0-2 years experience or HS and 6-8 years experience
  • Travel required within the United States and Internationally (Bahamas / twice a year, up to two weeks at a time)
  • Ability to obtain a US passport, active passport preferred
  • Military or government experience preferred but not necessary
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance with the US government; active security clearance preferred

Additional Skills of Interest:

  • Exposure to Cisco SDA-Fabric environments
  • Hands-on with Cisco DNA automation features
  • Experience implementing or supporting Cisco ISE policies

Equal Pay Act

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, Arcfield invests in its employees beyond just compensation.
