We are hiring two Network Field Technicians to support a short-term Wireless Access Point (WAP) refresh initiative. This engagement is expected to last approximately 90 days, with the potential to extend based on project needs. The effort focuses on replacing aging wireless hardware with modern, enterprise-class access points to maintain reliable connectivity and consistent signal coverage across the environment.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware Installation & Removal
Remove existing wireless access points and install new devices across a variety of mounting surfaces, including drop ceilings, hard ceilings, and wall-mounted locations.
Cabling & Physical Connectivity
Terminate and connect CAT6 cabling, verify proper connections, and perform light cable management and labeling as needed.
Initial Device Bring-Up
Power on newly installed access points and perform basic initial configuration (“day-zero” setup) using console access or cloud-based management platforms such as Cisco DNA Center, Aruba Central, or Meraki dashboards.
Wireless Signal Verification
Validate post-install wireless coverage by testing signal strength and performance using handheld testers or site survey tools, ensuring required coverage standards are met.

Accurately record hardware details including MAC addresses, serial numbers, and assigned access point names/locations within ServiceNow, Remedy, or structured tracking spreadsheets.
Required Skills & Physical Requirements

Physical Capability
Able to stand, walk, bend, and climb throughout an 8-hour workday.
