Gridiron IT is seeking a Systems Analyst Senior to support a federal program in Washington, DC.
Role Overview:
The System Analyst supports the delivery and onboarding of applications within a multi-tenant, high-availability enterprise platform undergoing active migration from legacy systems. This role operates in a complex, dependency-driven environment, partnering with application teams, platform engineering, database services, and security stakeholders. The analyst ensures requirements are clearly defined, processes are structured, and onboarding pathways are executable. The position is essential for efficient customer onboarding and maintaining delivery momentum in a fast-paced, high-visibility setting. Success requires strong analytical thinking, adaptability, and the ability to turn ambiguity into actionable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement & Requirements
• Engage with application teams and stakeholders to elicit, refine, and validate business and technical requirements.
• Translate customer needs into actionable inputs for engineering, platform, and support teams.
• Guide customers through onboarding expectations, ensuring clarity on scope, timelines, and required inputs.
Requirements & Process Documentation
• Develop and maintain process flows, onboarding guides, and operational workflows for platform integration.
• Document system interactions, dependencies, and data flows between legacy and target environments.
• Ensure documentation is structured, accessible, and usable by both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Delivery Coordination & Execution Support
• Align requirements with ongoing delivery activities.
• Coordinate across teams (application, platform, database, security) to ensure work progresses in the correct sequence.
• Help maintain visibility into work status, upcoming activities, and handoffs.
Risk & Dependency Awareness
• Identify and surface cross-team dependencies that may impact onboarding or migration timelines.
• Highlight gaps, blockers, or misalignments early for timely resolution.
• Support mitigation planning by ensuring dependencies are clearly understood and tracked.
Success in This Role:
• Customer onboarding processes are clear, repeatable, and executed smoothly.
• Requirements are well-defined, reducing confusion and enabling efficient delivery.
• Cross-team dependencies are visible and proactively managed.
• Stakeholders have confidence in timelines and expectations.
• Documentation supports continuity and reduces reliance on tribal knowledge.
• The role contributes to predictable, steady progress across migration and onboarding efforts.
Required Qualifications:
• Active Top Secret clearance.
• Ability to work onsite 3–4 days per week in Washington, DC.
• Experience gathering and translating business and technical requirements in complex IT environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in ambiguous situations.
• Experience documenting workflows, process maps, and system interactions.
• Ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with enterprise platform environments or shared services models.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms or modern application hosting environments.
• Experience supporting system migrations or onboarding efforts.
• Understanding of database, platform, and security coordination in IT delivery.
• Experience in federal or highly regulated environments.
Working Environment & Expectations:
This role operates in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment requiring coordination across multiple teams. The ecosystem is highly interdependent, demanding quick understanding of context, adaptability, and alignment across stakeholders.
