Description of Duties:
This senior leadership position within the Missile Defense Space Enterprise Architecture (MDSEA) organization will be a key member of the organization's upper leadership team, responsible for overseeing multiple critical functions and their respective leadership. This role is pivotal in driving strategic change, fostering growth, and ensuring unwavering support for our critical national security mission.
As the Operations and Sustainment Lead supporting the MDSEA organization on the IRES contract, you will be at the forefront of directing a team of subordinate leads who develop and implement solutions for critical system elements. You will be instrumental in ensuring the integrated, efficient, and secure command and control of our nation's space-based defense capabilities by guiding the overall program. - Direct and mentor subordinate leads, providing clear strategic direction and holding them accountable for their team's performance.
- Serve as the final point of escalation for programmatic and personnel conflicts, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet all mission and project requirements.
- Oversee all Operations, Maintenance, and associated events within the mission network, to include installation, configuration, and verification of applications on Linux and Windows environments.
- Collaborate with senior government counterparts, program managers, and engineering leadership to identify strategic requirements and timelines, ensuring the successful implementation of effective solutions.
- Oversee implementation of comprehensive training plans for new employees.
- Own and manage Control Accounts for specified sections under the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and be ultimately responsible for all Task Order Status Report (TOSR) inputs for both the Sustainment and Operations Teams.
- Oversee budget and procurement activities to ensure fiscal responsibility and resource availability.
The successful candidate will:
- Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience briefing senior leadership.
- Be an enthusiastic, dynamic, and self-starting individual capable of owning complex issues through to their resolution.

Basic Requirements:
- Must have 10, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
- May be reduced with completion of advanced education
- Must have 5, or more, years of directly related/progressive IT experience
- Must have 3, or more, years of experience working in a management or leadership role
- Must have a strong technical understanding of enterprise IT principles, including scripting and networking in mixed Linux/Windows environments.
- Must have hands-on experience with program-level responsibilities such as budget oversight, strategic planning, and performance reporting.
- Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
- Must be able to obtain an active DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility.
Desired Requirements:
- Have a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in computer science or a related field.
- Have an active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Have a current IAT Level II certification or higher (e.g., Security+).
- Have experience managing Control Accounts (CAM) or performing budget oversight on government contracts.
- Have experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS)
- Have experience working on ground systems for space operations.
- Have experience with GitLab, Remedy, and Aspen is a plus.
