Job Description
**OPENING HOOK** As the Senior Project Manager, you will be the bridge between visionary signal processing innovation and mission-critical defense execution, ensuring that our cutting-edge RF technologies successfully reach the hands of the warfighter. You aren't just managing schedules; you are orchestrating the delivery of SIGMA™ and NOVA™ platforms that redefine what is possible in signal intelligence and SAR processing. **ABOUT THE COMPANY** A high-growth defense technology firm specializing in ultra-high-resolution radar and signal processing software. We pride ourselves on a "precision-first" culture where we tackle the most complex challenges in electromagnetics to provide non-obvious insights for US Government and defense partners. Working here means joining a team of elite engineers and strategists who value autonomy, technical excellence, and the relentless pursuit of superior signal intelligence. **THE OPPORTUNITY** This is a "builder" role designed for a Project Manager who thrives in the intersection of technical complexity and business growth. You will step into a high-autonomy environment where you will translate complex USG contractual agreements, including SBIRs and OTAs, into actionable Project Management Plans (PMPs). Success in this role means establishing a predictable cadence for delivery while the company scales, acting as a critical arbiter of accountability across a matrixed engineering team. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** * Lead the end-to-end execution of a portfolio of defense projects, ensuring all deliverables meet USG contractual requirements on time and within budget. * Translate complex contractual language and leadership directives into detailed Project Management Plans (PMPs) and work breakdown structures. * Navigate and ensure strict compliance with ITAR and EAR regulations across all hardware and software deployment phases. * Facilitate high-touch collaboration between cross-functional teams, including RF engineering, software development, and senior leadership. * Act as the primary point of accountability in a matrixed environment, removing blockers and driving momentum for concurrent technical projects. * Manage project lifecycles within Jira and Azure DevOps, maintaining high data integrity for executive reporting. * Oversee the deployment of RF systems and hardware, coordinating logistics and technical milestones with external stakeholders. * Lead regular project status meetings, providing transparent updates on risks, resource constraints, and milestone achievements. * Support the transition from R&D (SBIR/OTA phases) to productized solutions and commercial/government sales. * Mentor junior team members and contribute to the refinement of internal project management methodologies. **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** * 7-10+ years of experience in technical project management, specifically within the Defense or Aerospace industries. * Proven track record managing USG contracts, including Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Other Transaction Authority (OTA) agreements. * Active Secret Security Clearance (required on day one). * Expert-level proficiency in Jira, Microsoft Project, and Azure DevOps for project tracking and resource allocation. * Deep knowledge of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations). * Experience managing the deployment of complex hardware, specifically RF (Radio Frequency) systems or signal processing equipment. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** * PMP (Project Management Professional) or DAWIA certification. * Experience in a fast-paced startup environment transitioning into a structured growth phase. * Technical background in Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, or a related field. * Experience with SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) processing or Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) programs. **WORK ENVIRONMENT** This is a hybrid role based out of our primary office location. We offer a high-autonomy, high-pressure, but highly rewarding startup energy where "many touches" are required as we interface with clients and build our product roadmap. Relocation assistance is available for top-tier candidates. **COMPENSATION & BENEFITS** * Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000 (flexibility exists for exceptional candidates). * Potential for equity participation and performance-based bonuses. * Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance. * Relocation assistance program for out-of-state hires. **CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS** Candidates must possess an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance at the time of hire. Eligibility for TS/SCI is a plus. Security Requirements: secret Compensation: $140k-$160k/yr
