Job Description

The purpose of the Production Supervisor is to ensure all aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Company and regulatory standards. Their role is to bridge frontline Technicians and management, focusing on execution, coordination and quality Additionally, the Production Supervisor plays a critical role in keeping aircraft airworthy, schedules on track, and the team aligns with organizational and regulatory goals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage technical proficiency levels to ensure a trained, qualified, skilled workforce that directly supports flight line operations.
  • Instill quality, product discipline and stringent adherence to the Production principles and standards that must be upheld to ensure safe, compliant, efficient, and predictable production outcomes.
  • Coordinate and monitor Technician workload, ensuring effective and efficient organization
  • Maintain liaison with supporting activities to ensure requirements and workload are known and satisfied.
  • Maintain aircraft logs, associated equipment and support equipment records, including W&B data and inventory logs.
  • Review the supply support and support equipment lists for adequacy, and initiate action for revision as required.
  • Ensure divisions assign qualified personnel for the completion of scheduled maintenance and inspections.
  • Establish maintenance procedures to ensure all support equipment is properly maintained.
  • Establish procedures for controlling cannibalization.
  • Ensure Functional Check Flights are conducted (as required).
  • Establish procedures to monitor the supply support and production and such other reports (as required).
  • Provide pilots and aircrews with a record of aircraft discrepancies and corrective actions for the preceding 10 flights of the aircraft.
  • Enforce OSHA and OH&S requirements, ensure availability and proper use of PPE, safety systems, and tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS
  • Skilled in interpreting technical documents, maintenance procedures, and blueprints.
  • Proficient in the English language with effective communication and mentoring skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently or part of a team.
  • Must demonstrate safe and healthy workplace practices.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be able to travel within the US and internationally.
  • Must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities of a Production Supervisor in daily work performance.
  • Must be able to work in hazardous locations and various weather environments and conditions.
  • Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and not be barred from any installation.

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of 10 years related experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 8 years In-depth maintenance experience of F-16 to include flightline leadership experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing Aircraft Technicians.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations, particularly 14 CFR 91 & 135.
  • Working alongside international coalition partners a plus.

WORK CONDITIONS
  • This position requires overseas deployment where the Technician will perform.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively and self-sufficiently in a foreign environment, including communication, local navigation, and personal sustainability.

SPECIAL WORK CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret and appropriate host nation clearance(s). Ongoing eligibility is subject to periodic review. Strict adherence to all security protocols, procedures, and training is required.
  • Must possess a valid U.S. passport with no travel restrictions, limitations, or disqualifications, with a validity extending a minimum 6 months beyond the projected assignment completion date.
  • Must be able to secure all required work authorizations, including a valid work visa for the host country. Any prior immigration violations, criminal offenses, or adverse travel history that may prevent entry will not be considered.
  • Adherence to the legal, regulatory, safety, and operational requirements of the host nation is mandatory throughout the duration of assignment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, talk, walk, hear, see, and reach with hands and arms.
  • This position requires close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • This role is performed in hazardous duty locations, around loud noises and hazardous chemicals with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risks of electrical shock. The Aircraft Technician III must be able to work in environments with exposure to noise, chemicals, dust, and varying weather conditions.
  • This position may require working in environments where combat-related personal protective equipment is issued and must be worn, such as ballistic vests, helmets, or other protective gear. The Technician must be able to properly don, wear, and operate effectively while using such equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Work conditions may require quick movement or repositioning in response to safety, operational, or environmental needs.
  • Duties may involve standing, walking, bending, climbing, or working in confined or elevated areas for extended periods.
  • The essential duties and responsibilities are performed in a dynamic, high-tempo environment, while earing required protective equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

  • This position is contingent upon contract award. An offer of employment may be extended prior to award; however, employment will be contingent upon the Company's award and subsequent contract funding.
