Software Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to support a company focused on advanced defense technologies and real-time radar systems development. This position is on-site in Moorestown, NJ. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and optimize high-performance real-time software for next-generation multi-processor radar platforms. This role offers the opportunity to directly support mission-critical national security programs through cutting-edge engineering solutions.

Responsibilities for the Software Engineer include:

• Design, develop, and maintain real-time radar software using Modern C++ and object-oriented programming principles
• Optimize software performance across multi-processor and GPU-accelerated (CUDA) architectures
• Collaborate within Agile development teams using Git/GitLab in Linux environments
• Perform algorithm development, modeling, and data analysis using MATLAB and Python
• Develop automated tests and produce rigorous technical documentation to support long-term sustainment

Required Qualifications for the Software Engineer include:

• 2-14+ years of software engineering experience (Level 2-Level 5 opportunities available based on experience and expertise)
• Proficiency in Modern C++ (or comparable OOP languages) with experience in real-time or embedded systems
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with experience in MATLAB and/or Python for prototyping and analysis
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Active Secret Clearance (required)

Compensation for the Software Engineer include:

• Salary Range: $110,000 - $190,000 depending on experience
• Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Sick Leave as required by law
