Overview

GES is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to support enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and system administration across a hybrid federal environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain on-prem and cloud-based IT systems
• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure Entra ID, and Active Directory
• Implement and maintain STIG configurations and compliance baselines
• Perform system installations, upgrades, patching, and maintenance
• Monitor systems performance and security posture
• Develop disaster recovery strategies and implementation plans
• Support endpoint security and compliance initiatives
• Provide technical recommendations to improve IT operations
• Document system configurations, processes, and SOPs

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 6+ years (Senior Level)
• Strong experience with:
  • Microsoft Azure & M365
  • Active Directory / Entra ID
  • VMware, Windows/Linux servers
  • Networking (LAN/WAN, Cisco)
• Knowledge of:
  • NIST, FISMA compliance
  • STIG implementation

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft (Azure Administrator/Architect), VMware, Security+
