Job Description
Amentum is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a supply chain manager in the Army's Product Manager XM30, Program Executive Office (PEO) Ground Combat Systems (GCS) office. You will be part of the beginning of the Army's newest weapon system. This position is on site at Detroit Arsenal. Other duties may be assigned to support client and contract deliverables. You will connect with our team members and customers to plan the future for the XM30 System while improving efficiency in all aspects of the supply chain for XM30.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop the planning, managing, controlling, directing, and coordinating of logistics for XM30.
- Coordinate with internal and external teammates while developing the customer's procurement requirements.
- Work with internal customers, suppliers, external customers and program business leadership as needed to meet goals and communicate performance.
- Coordinate with procurement specialists, project managers, and vendors to ensure timely processing and tracking of documents and final delivery of product as they move through the acquisition process. Incorporate changes into existing documentation. Maintain contract files for procurement requests, funding documents, formal orders and contracts, and all official correspondence.
- Analyze all available data to improve requirements gathering, understanding of pricing, and purchasing decisions.
- Perform planning on acquisition approaches, especially for complex and first-time procurements. Participate in the structuring of RFPs of technology procurements and develop RFP and contract documentation.
- Develop the requisite planning and justification documentation for approval of procurements and support and defend the procurement to approval authorities.
- Coordinate with different DoS locations to forecast yearly requirements.
- Assist with asset management duties such as annual inventory procedures for associated offices. Includes supporting internal 'office' asset management processes, hand receipts, and tracking of items. Also assists with warehouse asset management procedures and related work.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, and at least 3-5 years of experience in logistics, procurement, and/or supply chain management OR; an Associate's degree, and at least 6-8 years of logistics experience, 5 of which are in logistics, procurement, and/or supply chain management
- Must have or be able to obtain an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Demonstrated ability to explain design concepts, analyze and solve problems, prepare presentations, and receive feedback
- Excellent collaboration, multi-tasking and communication skills
- Ability to plan and organize work effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS) Certified Supply Chain Certification (CSCP)
- Must have experience in Wholesale software
