Job Description

We are seeking a Records and Property Management Specialist to oversee records lifecycle management and property accountability processes in support of mission and compliance requirements. This role ensures proper documentation, tracking, auditing, and disposition of records and government property, with a strong emphasis on Intelligence Community (IC) standards and Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) support.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full lifecycle of organizational records, including creation, classification, storage, retrieval, and disposition in accordance with applicable policies
  • Maintain accurate records inventories and file plans to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements
  • Track and manage customer property and equipment, ensuring accountability, proper documentation, and audit readiness
  • Conduct periodic compliance audits of records and property management processes; identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions
  • Support Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests by locating, reviewing, and coordinating the release of responsive records
  • Ensure adherence to IC records management policies, security requirements, and data handling procedures
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to improve records management systems, workflows, and property tracking processes
  • Prepare reports and documentation for leadership, audits, and inspections
  • Maintain documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide training or guidance to personnel as needed


Requirements:
  • A High School Diploma and eight (8) years of combined experience in the below OR a Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Management, Business Administration, Records Management, or a related field and five (5) years of combined experience in:
    • Records control and lifecycle management
    • Property tracking and accountability
    • Compliance audits
    • Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) support
  • US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required


Desired Experience:
  • Certified Records Manager (CRM) or equivalent certification
  • Strong knowledge of records management principles, retention schedules, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with electronic records management systems and property tracking tools
  • Familiarity with FOIA processes and document review procedures
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain audit readiness
  • Effective communication and coordination skills across teams and stakeholders
