- Serves as a Defense of Logistics Agency (DLA) Family Programs subject matter expert (SME) providing program oversight, integration, coordination, synchronization and evaluation for a DLA site.
- Works with DLA Family Program Managers to ensure adequate funding for authorizations; contractors, and requirements coded as MWR USA reimbursable.
- Responsible for monitoring all functional areas and associated resources related to mission accomplishment.
- Coordinates resolution of complex and controversial technical and administrative problems. Identifies deficiencies in local policies and operations and recommends necessary changes to resolve.
- Reviews overall operations to determine operational problems and recommends changes necessary to meet long-range objectives.

- Expert knowledge of government and Military Family Readiness Programs regulations, policies, principles and procedures, in order to advise and to make recommendations for revision to and/or establish new regulations, policies, or procedures for the integration of Family programs.
- Comprehensive, thorough knowledge and understanding of the substantive nature of the justification, acquisition, and operation of MWR Family programs and processes, and the interrelationship among these programs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of program oversight to include program funding.
- Expert knowledge of a broad range of qualitative and quantitative methods for assessing and improving program effectiveness and complex management processes.
- Expert skill in written and oral communications in order to prepare written guidance and decisions; to present sensitive recommendations to higher authority; to obtain compliance with policies from subordinate activities; to explain and defend decisions to the MWR personnel, contractors, or higher level officials.
- Knowledge of command structure, missions, programs, and organizational relationships and a thorough knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques to develop, manage, and implement studies and analyses of such scope to involve/effect the various organizations.
- Master's Degree in Social Work with 5 years of experience post graduate degree with at least 2 years in a public family and children's services agency, 1 year of which is in prevention, intervention, counseling or treatment of child abuse and domestic abuse.
- Family Program experience at a large installation, regional command, or headquarters compiling and analyzing data to include service delivery, human resources, and financial.
