Job Description

Responsibilities

The candidate will be considered an emerging authority who applies extensive technical expertise to develop technical solutions to complex problems. The candidate will exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Using a holistic approach, the candidate will design, develop, evaluate, and modify end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products throughout their entire life cycle. The candidate will generate quantifiable requirements based on customer descriptions, system planning and design, and acquisition logistics, ensuring requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods. The candidate will translate high-level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and work with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements. The candidate will establish and coordinate the development of standards, practices, and procedures related to overall product development. The candidate will design interfaces and integrate system elements so they function as a cohesive whole, assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures, and serve as a customer liaison to support business development activities and help understand and shape requirements. The candidate will participate in system conceptual design and documentation of design concepts, work with multi-disciplined engineering teams to develop detailed requirements, and participate in design reviews of hardware and software components to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation. Additionally, the candidate will generate system-level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures, review test plans and procedures to ensure they meet contractual objectives, and participate in the testing process to validate requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate initialization planning by delivering initialization handbooks, master schedules, readiness plans, readiness review execution plans, data dissemination CONOPS, meeting artifacts, and task analysis and close out briefs.
• Manage collaboration sites for initialization activities; create, populate and maintain data repositories to allow distributed teams to access required data and collaborate on execution.
• Coordinate engineering demonstrations and new capability tests.
• Produce requirements for environment, tools, and data to assess product quality trade studies and impacts.
• Document technical approach, objectives, and success criteria for related product quality trade studies.
• Perform trades/analysis by leveraging domain experts using simulation methods to determine performance impacts based on new requirements.
• Generate project plan and corresponding data requirements, checklists, objectives and criteria for studies.
• Assess readiness event material for technical accuracy.
• Evaluate evidence against established criteria and provide feedback on results.
• Provide recommendations for event/milestone decisions.
• Provide lessons learned and insights for event preparation.
• Monitor incidents for potential impacts and blockers.
• Report validation results and workaround impacts to readiness reviews.
• Analyze risks and opportunities for cost, schedule and performance impacts.
• Reassess as necessary to accurately report status and update impacts.
• Propagate risks and opportunities results to information or decision forums and documentation.
• Interface and communicate with leadership, customers, and external organizations.
