  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in AI for health.
  • 5 years of experience managing products and programs in AI applications, crafting roadmaps, working with cross-functional teams to manage product lifecycles from inception to delivery.
  • Experience with the ethical, safety, and responsibility dimensions of AI in areas such as health, working with governments and regulators.
  • Experience in people management.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience working on direct to consumer health applications and products.
  • Experience working on a health care policy, with governments, think tanks or NGOs (Non-Governmental Organisations).
  • Experience collaborating with researchers and engineers.
  • Knowledge of the global health delivery landscape, private and public payor ecosystems, challenges, and solutions.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and work in a fast-moving environment, and collaborate effectively with colleagues, executive leadership, and partners.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex technical details into precise insights, establishing credibility with stakeholders.

DeepMind's Impact Accelerator has a unique role to develop solutions built on DeepMind's technologies and expertise that benefit humanity. You will focus on harnessing DeepMind's technologies to improve people's health outcomes across the world.

In this role, working in partnership with leaders across DeepMind, you will develop and be responsible for a portfolio of projects, including directing, organizing and managing all activities that advance the health impact of frontier AI. You will also drive the strategy and business development activities of DeepMind impact accelerator as it relates to health.

The potential of advanced AI to transform health is biomedical research, wellness, the delivery of health services to meet users' physical and mental health, global public health, and personal care. You will primarily focus on the application of AI to health systems and individuals with health needs, working in close partnership with DeepMind impact accelerator leads for life sciences and global (public) health.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $240,000-$334,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
  • Develop the Health portfolio's impact strategy, owning project roadmaps from prototyping to global launch. Identify opportunities to apply DeepMind technology, ensuring the responsible adoption of AI through product innovation.
  • Build external partnerships to deploy, test, and refine models based on real-world feedback.
  • Unite cross-functional research and engineering teams to enhance health outcomes and share insights across the Alphabet.
  • Monitor the external landscape and engage with experts to foster public trust and act as a leader in AI for social good.
  • Define success metrics and evaluate performance to accelerate high-value impact opportunities.
