Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer
Full-Time with an Employee Owned and Best Places to Work Contractor
Onsite in Huntsville, AL | Schedule: 9x80
Support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as part of the Simulation Team within the System Performance & Analysis product line, developing software solutions that directly enable missile defense system design for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer

Onsite in Huntsville, AL | Schedule: 9x80
Support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as part of the Simulation Team within the System Performance & Analysis product line, developing software solutions that directly enable missile defense system design for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software products supporting simulation and system performance analysis
- Implement software using object-oriented programming (OOP) principles in languages such as C++, Python, Go, or MATLAB
- Contribute to modeling and simulation activities supporting system design and evaluation
- Develop and execute unit tests and support Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices
- Translate technical concepts into work products, presentations, and engineering discussions
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution and 2+ years relevant experience
- Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) using C++, Python, Go, or MATLAB
- Experience with unit testing or Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Ability to communicate and document technical concepts through presentations and discussions
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
- Ability to work on-site/in-office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Modeling & Simulation
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
- Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, Fortify, Coverity
- Experience with SQL databases
- Familiarity with GMD/GWS programs
- Experience with containers and containerized development (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
