Job Description
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented TEST SPECIALIST to join our team in STAFFORD, VA.
This position will support Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) efforts to research, develop, test, and evaluate (RDT&E) future military fires capabilities in order to transition and deliver select capabilities to the Marine Corps warfighter.

This position will support Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory (MCWL) efforts to research, develop, test, and evaluate (RDT&E) future military fires capabilities in order to transition and deliver select capabilities to the Marine Corps warfighter.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide dedicated Field Test Support to ground and air testing and experimentation; troubleshoot technical issues, support logistics, and work with technical teams for ground/flight test readiness.
- Support the planning and executing of flight test missions, including defining test cards and managing on-board telemetry.
- Analyze, interpret, and report on flight data to verify aircraft performance.
- Assist Engineer Team in preparing Test Plans, Deliberate Risk Assessment Worksheets, and incorporating safety practices into overall systems engineering.
- Identify potential hazards, assess associated risks, and develop mitigation strategies to enforce rigorous safety protocols and to ensure compliance with FAA or military regulations.
- Prepare and review technical documentation to include technical data packages, system analysis reports, safety releases, hazard tracking tools, risk registers, and safety data packages for system safety review boards.
- Apply principles of DoD Instruction 5000.80 (Operation of the Middle Tier of Acquisition) to weapon system safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and at least 8 years' experience in testing.
- Experience in planning, coordinating and executing military field testing or experimentation.
- Experience with the integration of military safety integration and documentation and maintaining hazard tracking systems; including role as Range Safety Officer (RSO).
- Up to 25% travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in a technical field or defense acquisition discipline.
- Experience in working on a team in support of Marine Corps RDT&E objectives.
- Experience with navigating and applying DoDI 5000.80, Operation of the Middle Tier of Acquisition (MTA).
- Experience with Foreign Comparative Tests and associated implementation of ITAR compliance.
- Experience with USMC DOTMLPF-P, production, maintenance, and quality.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
