Overview

Tecolote Research, Inc. is seeking a talented, self-driven individual for a position as a SME Strategic Communications Analyst to support the Space Sensing SET team supporing US Space Force in Chantilly Virginia.

Responsibilities


Our SET SME will be responsible for the following:
  • Draft written and visual communication materials (e.g., program acquisition point papers, briefings, articles, press releases, and responses to Congressional, HHQ, and media Requests for Information) for diverse audiences while managing related business operations.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to create communication plans and products that align with strategic objectives for space development programs and launch campaigns.
  • Assemble and provide guidance on completing electronic Staff Summary Sheet (eSSS) packages.
  • Communicate effectively with offices at all leadership levels (Directorate, Center, MAJCOM, Space Force, DoD).
  • Provide support for PEO PMRs, All Calls, and other high-level meetings as needed.
  • Advise leadership on the status of assigned deliverables.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Skills Required

  • As a key member of the SET team supporting the Space Sensing Chief of Staff, you will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that comply with DoD and U.S. Space Force policies and guidance.
  • You will frequently interact with Space Force/Air Force and DoD tools such as Task Management Tool (TMT) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to initiate, track, and close out taskers across directorate, SSC, and Space Force Command.
  • The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong verbal and written communication skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Successful candidate will also have the following qualifications/experience:



Experience:
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in Federal Government acquisition, including work with agencies such as the Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. Space Force, U.S. Air Force, or NASA programs.
  • At least 5 years of recent experience in space programs is highly preferred.



Education:
  • Master's degree in one of the following fields: Business, Management, Economics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Statistics.



Security Clearance:
  • Must hold an active DoD TS/SCI security Clearance


Education

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, or the sciences.
