Job Description
- Serve as a primary assessor and validator for RMF activities, demonstrating strong communication skills and the professional presence required to brief findings directly to government clients.
- Apply deep technical expertise in the Risk Management Framework to plan, execute, and document end‑to‑end security control assessments across RMF Steps 0–7.
- Validate the implementation and effectiveness of security controls, ensuring they meet NIST, DoD, and DHS requirements.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and conduct hands‑on control validation, including evidence collection, test execution, and results documentation.
- Build complete, audit‑ready ATO packages, including SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms, and supporting artifacts.
- Review, validate, and track POA&M items, ensuring remediation actions are properly implemented and documented.
- Use eMASS or similar compliance and IA tools to manage assessment data, track control status, and maintain system authorization documentation.
- Analyze vulnerability scan results, STIG implementations, and other compliance inputs to identify risks and produce clear, actionable assessment reports.
- Present assessment results, risk findings, and recommendations to federal stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
- Leverage prior federal cybersecurity experience—preferably DoD, but DHS or other FedCiv agencies acceptable—to ensure alignment with federal cybersecurity policies and governance frameworks.
