Responsibilities

Millennium Corporation is hiring Resident Assistant for the Test and Evaulation Pathfinder Internship Program. Intern must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DOD Security Clearance.

The Pathfinder internship program was developed from a decision of the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) enshrined and funded in the FY20 Authorizations. The SASC directed the DoD to establish more cyber workforce development opportunities, to include in the test and evaluation (T&E) career field.

A Pathfinder intern should be interested in exploring the U.S. Government's Test & Evaluation that is comprised of Cyber Security and Software. The intern will gain in-depth knowledge of the government's T&E trade craft, apply their skills to various projects, and grow their personal and professional networks.

As the Resident Assistant (RA) serves as a key liaison between the students living in UCF residential halls and the Office of Housing and Residence Life. RAs play a critical role in fostering a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive community among residents. They assist with the administration and enforcement of housing and university policies, offer peer support, provide educational programming, and serve as a primary resource for student needs related to campus living and academic success.

Community Development:
  • Organize and execute social, educational, and cultural programs that enhance community engagement and student learning.
  • Facilitate floor/building meetings to discuss residence hall policies and upcoming events.
  • Encourage a living environment respectful of diversity and inclusivity.

Policy Enforcement:
  • Monitor compliance with university and housing policies within the residence halls.
  • Report violations and collaborate with the housing staff to manage disciplinary procedures.
  • Serve as a role model for responsible and ethical behavior.

Support and Guidance:
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to residents, referring them to appropriate campus resources when needed.
  • Assist residents with conflict resolution and interpersonal issues.
  • Maintain availability through scheduled on-call shifts for emergency response and resident concerns.

Administrative Duties:
  • Conduct regular room inspections and report maintenance issues.
  • Assist with the check-in and check-out processes at the beginning and end of each term.
  • Maintain accurate records of programming efforts and resident interactions.

Qualified candidate will be responsible for completing specific training opportunities, to include:
  • Participation in training milestone events facilitated by Millennium Corporation Mentors
  • Security+ Training
  • Additional Industry Certifications


Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance.
  • High school diploma and working towards a bachelor's degree.
  • Organized able to prioritize time-sensitive assignments and work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
  • Excitement for and orientation to constant learning.
  • Self-starter.
  • Proactive.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Currently enrolled at a university with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Must have completed at least one year at UCF or another university.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and involvement on campus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Prior experience in conflict resolution, peer counseling, or as a RA.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of university resources and student support services.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
