- You will conduct or participate in pre-inspection conference with management and employee representatives explain the nature and scope of the sampling survey.
- You will participate as a team member with industrial hygienists when conducting large and complex sampling surveys.
- You will maintain industrial hygiene equipment and calibrate equipment.
- You will collect direct read and time-weighted air and noise samples in an industrial environment.
- You will be working with web-based applications to enter Industrial Hygiene data.

Qualifications

- Applying practical knowledge of Industrial Hygiene concepts and principles .Managing equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and repair programs of environmental or industrial hygiene equipment.
- Preparing Instructional outlines and providing technical instruction to IH professionals, technicians, and workplace monitors on the use of new technically advanced equipment.
- Collection of workplace monitoring in support of exposure monitoring plans.
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Uses industrial hygiene or environmental instrumentation, gathers and analyzes data.
- Provides written documentation of sampling results for inclusion in reports.
- Utilizes MS Office Suite software(such as Word, Excel, and/or Access) and other databases to enter data into monitoring systems.
- Prepares standard operating procedures for industrial hygiene equipment and calibration.
