Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Quality Analyst located in Salt Lake City, UT.

What you'll get to do:
  • Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses.
  • Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards.
  • Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
  • Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.


The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplish them simultaneously, have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment, and have the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office systems.

Basic Qualifications for the Quality Analyst:
  • Bachelors Degree with 3 years of experience in Quality; Masters Degree with 1 year of experience in Quality; Associate Degree with 5 years of in Quality: OR 7 years of Quality experience in lieu of degree.
  • QMS experience (AS9100, ISO 9001, or ISO 9000).
  • Experience in developing or reviewing Root Cause / Corrective Action activity.
  • Experience interpreting blueprints and/or engineering drawings.
  • Experience in processing data collection, analysis, and metric reporting.
  • Experience with quality controls and/or non-conformance controls.
  • SAP experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Root Cause Corrective Action analysis experience.
  • Experience inspecting electronic equipment or components.
  • Continual Improvement experience.
  • Inspection experience.
  • Experience with Risk Analysis and Management.
  • Experience with document control process.
  • Experience with quality controls and/or non-conformance controls in a manufacturing environment.

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $98,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
