Summary:
• Develop, maintain, and enhance sophisticated Big-Data Cloud systems.
• Leverage deep expertise in Cloud Computing, Distributed Computing, Information Retrieval, and Object Oriented Design.
• Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, development, and testing.
• Apply modern development practices including DevOps, utilizing a range of technologies such as Elasticsearch, NiFi, Python, Spring, and Angular.
Qualifications & Compensation:
• Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related discipline. A degree may be substituted for 4 additional years of experience.
• Years of experience: 8+ years
• Salary: $278k+ yearly compensation
Job Description:
• Design, develop, and maintain complex Big-Data Cloud systems.
• Perform comprehensive requirements analysis, system design, software development, and rigorous testing.
• Implement and manage DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration/Delivery and Software Configuration Management.
• Develop robust solutions using distributed computing and information retrieval principles.
• Apply expertise in Object Oriented Design, Java, and Spring Framework for application development.
• Utilize front-end technologies such as Angular.js, Angular2, and Angular4 for user interface development.
• Work with Big Data technologies including Hadoop, HBase, Yarn, Map Reduce, Apache Avro, Bigtable, and MongoDB.
• Leverage data processing and management tools like NiFi, Elasticsearch, and Dataflow.
• Develop scripts and automate tasks using Python, Bash, and Ruby.
• Implement and integrate Restful Web Services.
• Manage system environments using Linux, VMWare, and Virtual Box.
• Apply knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and system security best practices.
• Utilize tools such as Maven, Subversion, and ClearQuest for project and configuration management.
