Position Overview
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist 3 to support environmental, health, and safety compliance at our Dallas, TX location. This role serves as a primary site resource for EHS programs, regulatory engagement, and risk mitigation, ensuring compliance with environmental and occupational safety requirements while supporting ongoing and future business activities.

Position Overview
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist 3 to support environmental, health, and safety compliance at our Dallas, TX location. This role serves as a primary site resource for EHS programs, regulatory engagement, and risk mitigation, ensuring compliance with environmental and occupational safety requirements while supporting ongoing and future business activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and company policies
- Serve as the primary site interface with regulatory agencies
- Coordinate and support site inspections, audits, and regulatory visits
- Prepare and submit permit applications and required compliance documentation
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs to employees and stakeholders
- Conduct workplace assessments to evaluate program effectiveness and identify hazards
- Investigate incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Assess risks associated with new and existing business activities and implement mitigation plans
- Prepare compliance and technical reports required by regulatory agencies
- Evaluate new and emerging EHS regulations for potential impact on company operations
- Review vendor, contractor, and supplier activities to ensure EHS compliance
- Provide EHS input to new business opportunities and facility projects
- Present ideas, findings, and solutions to leadership and stakeholders
- Actively engage team members and lead safety initiatives across the site
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Bachelor's degree in an Environmental, Health, and Safety-related field
- Demonstrated experience with the following:
- Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT)
- Fall Protection
- Electrical Safety
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Assessments
- Ergonomic Evaluations
- Cranes and Hoists
- Machine Guarding
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels
- Comfort presenting to stakeholders and leading safety teams
- Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
- Successful completion of EHS training is a contingency for this assignment (on-the-job training and/or formal classroom training)
